Snowflakes or Hummingbirds?

Well it has been an interesting month weather wise for us.  Was not sure if we should do snowflakes or hummingbirds.  The Hummingbirds won.  Yeah.  We did get a few nice days of sunshine and took advantage of it by getting some flowers into a planter box and was inspired to do some hummingbirds.

I love the little things they bring a smile to my face every time I see one.  They fascinate me so small and delicate looking.  I hope you enjoy these little darlings.  They are "Combed" a form of Quilling.

It was so inspiring driving home from work last night seeing all the new "Mom's" walking their little bundles of joy around in strollers.  I was reminded of the cute Baby cards Miranda has created.  Hope it inspires you to do the same.

Spring Finally

Wow I can't believe the weather so far this week.  Finally we have our spring and it looks like it might be a nice one after all.  I feel sorry for those out west still being hammered by the white stuff...shhhh I don't want to use the word in case I jinx things.

We are looking forward to being very creative this spring and summer.  We would love to have comments on anything you would like us to work on.

We have been thinking of creating a mailing list to keep those of you who are interested in our Quilling posted on up and coming events and even just what we are working on.  We would love to keep in touch with you and hope that you will offer some idea's to keep us fresh and new.

Well it has been an interesting month.  We have been very busy and not able to get any big projects started and completed but thought these are cute.

Gift Cash Envelopes

Good Morning Everyone.  We have been busy little bee's lately.

We are going to do a Flower Sampler Class in Woodstock at All About Scrapbooks on April 20th.  The class will be $45.00 and as per our usual everything will be provided including lunch and refreshments.  You can either contact us or the store for more details.

In the meantime we hope you enjoy what we have been working on for this week/month...

Happy Easter everyone we are hoping to get a couple of things done this weekend to post on the site.

One is for giving gift cards.  It seems to be the thing to do.  We give gift cards to our children and in my case the older grandchildren.

We thought we would make a Quilled envelope for the gift cards that is  more personal than what you get with your card if you can even get an envelope for it.  Please bear in mind this is just a test sample but I think it turned out cute and it fits perfectly.


The envelope is secured with the ribbon so that the card will not fall out.  It is easy to open just untie the ribbon and remove the card.

Next step it is to make one for bills because a lot of folks like to give cash and it is near impossible to get a nice envelope for cash so that will also be on our list for this weekend. If time permits.

Woodstock Crop and Garage Sale

We had a very good day in Woodstock yesterday.  It was long but I feel refreshed today with a lot of fun new out of the box idea's.  We can't wait to start working on some of our newly inspired idea's.  Sometimes I just need a kick start to get my creativity going.  We have a custom order to work on but after that and hopefully very soon you will see some new idea's.  Somethings we hope you will enjoy doing with us.  Not the usual; we are expanding our horizons, somethings with a twist.  Keep watching to see what comes up next.  April and May are going to be a very creative months we think.
